Bamboo Garden restaurant has served the Sissonville and surrounding communities with fresh, delicious, reasonably priced Chinese food for several years. The restaurant is owned by Jin Chin and his wife, Ada.
When Chins moved to Charleston, West Virginia, they operated another business until acquiring Bamboo Garden. Owning their own restaurant is the fulfillment of a dream for the Chins, and it allows Chin to exercise his culinary skills honed over a long cooking career, first in New York and now in West Virginia. Both he and Ada enjoy getting to know their customers, and they have a reputation for the best Crab Rangoon in Charleston.
Jin Chin came to the United States looking to build a good life for himself and his future family. After years of hard work, at the encouragement of his mother in China, he began dating with the idea of finding the right woman to serve as his life partner here. He didn’t have to look far. Ada had only been in the states for about 6 months when they met while she was in Chinatown in New York City, learning American customs and developing her English skills in preparation of assimilating in the United States. They dated for several months and then were married in New York. They really do function as a team. Both are friendly with a ready smile, nearly always remembering your favorite dish served in Bamboo Garden.
Before they purchased Bamboo Garden, they were blessed with two beautiful little girls. The girls are temporarily living with their grandparents in China while their parents work hard to grow the business, with a goal of providing a great future for their family. They visit with their little girls by computer camera and internet voice services every day, longing for that reunion here in the coming months.
Chin and Ada love living here and have made really good friends. They have earned loyal patrons from all over the state and welcome newcomers to come through their door to partake in the excellent culinary experience that they have created together. Stop by today. Their food will soon become a regular treat at both your dinner table or at their restaurant with friends and family.
